Landscape painter. Born in Sheboygan, WI on Dec. 6, 1871. Otte worked in New York City as a stockbroker and studied at the New York School of Art, Independent School of Art, and with Robert Henri. In 1913 he abandoned the stockmarket to devote his life to art and moved to Santa Barbara, CA where he had a home and studio at 1300 Los Albertos Road. He died there on Feb. 5, 1957.
